    ER4043 (Aluminum-Silicon) ER4043 is one of the oldest and most widely used aluminum filler wires. It contains 5% silicon, which offers several welding advantages. Characteristics:Weld appearance: Produces aesthetically pleasing, clean, and smooth welds with minimal spatter.Fluidity: The silicon content enhances fluidity, resulting in reduced weld cracking and excellent penetration.Low melting point: The lower melting temperature improves welding characteristics, especially for thinner materials.Weldability: Offers less sensitivity to weld cracking compared to many other aluminum alloys.
    Considerations:Welds may turn black after anodizing due to the silicon content.Should not be used for applications requiring maximum ductility.Not recommended for high-magnesium alloys.
