It's a widely used, general-purpose aluminum alloy with improved fluidity and a brighter weld finish, making it popular for welding various aluminum grades, especially heat-treatable alloys like 6061 and 6063, and some casting alloys.

Alloy 308 SAW & Flux is a welding wire considered to run on straight current, inverted division, and irregular current. Alloy 308L wire is designed for welding the same chemical composition in the cast and wrought forms. Prior heat process and interpass temperatures of not less than 300°F (150°C) are optional during welding. Post-weld heat management should be between 1100°F (629°C) and not to surpass 1150°F (620°C), as high temperatures may affect in hardening these wires as these are used for welding ASTM CA6NM castings or similar materials, as well as light-gauge 410, 410S and 405 base metals.

AWS Class ERNiCr-3 (also known as Alloy 82) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum filler wire used for MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding of base metals like Inconel 600, Incoloy 800, and for dissimilar metal applications. It is particularly suited for applications requiring good weldability and corrosion resistance.

  • Chromium (Cr): 18.0 - 22.0%
  • Manganese (Mn): 2.5 – 3.5%
  • Iron (Fe): 3.0% maximum
  • Titanium (Ti): 0.75% maximum
  • Niobium + Tantalum (Cb+Ta): 2.0 – 3.0%
  • Carbon (C): 0.10% maximum
  • Silicon (Si): 0.50% maximum
  • Phosphorus (P): 0.03% maximum
  • Sulfur (S): 0.015% maximum
  • Cobalt (Co): 0.12% maximum
  • Others: 0.50% maximum
