  • Applications:
    E309LT1 wire is primarily used for welding similar AISI 309L stainless steel materials. It is also highly effective for joining dissimilar steels, such as welding 304-type stainless steels to mild or low-alloy steels. Other uses include welding composite steel, cladding carbon steel with stainless steel, and fabricating parts for the petrochemical industry.

  • Low carbon content:
    The extra-low carbon content, indicated by the "L," minimizes the risk of intergranular corrosion by reducing carbide precipitation.

  • Good weldability:
    The wire provides excellent usability with a stable arc, low spatter, and easy slag removal. It is suitable for all welding positions.

  • Gas shielding:
    E309LT1 is a gas-shielded wire, typically requiring 100% CO2cap C cap O sub 2𝐶𝑂2 or a mixture of 75–80% Argon with the balance CO2cap C cap O sub 2𝐶𝑂2. The argon mix generally results in a smoother arc and less spatter.
