Molten Weld

ER70S-2 is a mild steel welding filler wire known for its triple deoxidizing agents (zirconium, titanium, and aluminum) in addition to manganese and silicon. This composition makes it excellent for welding over surfaces with rust, mill scale, or other minor contaminants, as the deoxidizers help to produce clean, high-quality, and porosity-free welds. It is available for both Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW or MIG) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW or TIG) processes.
Key characteristics:

•     Triple deoxidized: The addition of zirconium, titanium, and aluminum, along with manganese and silicon, allows this wire to perform exceptionally well on less-than-perfectly-clean steel.
• Radiographic quality welds: ER70S-2 is capable of producing X-ray quality welds, making it suitable for critical applications like pipe and pressure vessel welding.
• Weld puddle control: The weld puddle on ER70S-2 is considered to solidify more quickly than other wires like ER70S-6, which is an advantage for out-of-position or overhead welding.
• Versatile: It can be used for single-pass and multi-pass welds and is suitable for all welding positions.
